 | Quickly Copy Formats in an
Excel Worksheet To copy formatting from one worksheet range to another, you
probably use Excel's Format Painter tool. However, there's sometimes a quicker way. If the
cells are adjacent to each other, select the cell containing the formatting you want to
copy. Then, right-click ([Ctrl]-click on the Mac) and drag the fill handle (the small
square in the lower right corner of the cell) to the cells you want to format. When you
release the mouse button, select Fill Formats from the shortcut menu. If the cells aren't
adjacent, select the formatted cell, right-click on its border ([Ctrl]-click on the Mac)
and drag it to the target cell. When the shortcut menu appears, select Copy Here As
Formats Only from the shortcut menu.
